Inclusive Educational Practice in Europe: Psychological perspectives

Arnold, C. and Horan, J (Eds) (2017) London: UCL/IoE/Trentham Books.

The inclusion of all children in the educational system still poses challenges for many nations.

Psychology and psychologists have long been facilitating and researching this field.  This volume collates accounts from psychologists working in schools and other educational settings in 13 different European states.

It offers first hand accounts of the tensions, successes and debates surrounding a movement that is now in its fifth decade internationally.

To facilitate comparison, each contributor has provided a table of key facts relating to inclusion in their country.  All of the chapters have been prepared by leading practitioners in their area and represent their country in the European Federation of Psychological Associations (EFPA) through the Standing Committee of Psychologists in Education.
